John Di Benedetto – B. Bus. CPA
John has been a partner of the firm since July 1991, having commenced as an employee six years earlier. He has gained extensive accounting and tax knowledge whist working with various small and medium size accounting firms in Melbourne.
John has extensive experience in all areas of public accounting with expertise in taxation advice and planning, business structuring and development, Self Managed Superannuation and general management advice.
His large portfolio of clients stretches across a wide range of industries and he attributes the success of the firm to his ability to recruit and retain quality staff.
John has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), holds a Public Practice Certificate and is a Registered Tax Agent.
Roy Garro – BEc CPA
After graduating from Monash University, Roy commenced his accounting career working for Bentleys Chartered Accountants, a mid-tier firm which eventually amalgamated with one of the larger international firms.
Roy joined Cadwalladers in 1987 and became a partner in 1991. He holds a Bachelor of Economics (accounting major) from Monash and is a CPA.
Roy provides general taxation and business advice to his long-standing clients. He has a special interest in small business capital gains tax concessions, helping clients achieve the most tax-effective results from asset/business sales and restructuring.
Roy attributes the success of Cadwalladers to the global approach that it adopts in the delivery of relevant and value added service to its clients, incorporating the entire financial cycle of small businesses, from initial setup to eventual retirement and succession planning.
Roy also believes the firm has attracted and retained professional and supporting staff who all share the firm’s goal of achieving the bust results for our clients and have contributed to the long-standing relationships enjoyed by the firm.
Dominic Filippone – B.Bus CPA
Dominic’s first job was when he commenced working for Cadwalladers in June 1990 after completing his university degree and has not looked back.
In 2003 he became a partner of the firm.
Dominic’s services extend to providing general taxation and business advice to a vast range of clients in various industries, varying in size from small to medium to large businesses. His clients extend from locally based to those based interstate and also overseas.
Dominic has a special interest in Self Managed Superannuation Funds and has extensive knowledge of the Superannuation Laws and Regulations and deals with clients on a regular basis in assisting them with their compliance requirements whether their Fund is in either accumulation mode or pension mode or a combination of both.
Dominic strongly believes that the growth in the client base of Cadwalladers since his time there has come from a combination of hard work, friendly and team orientated staff members and a willingness of all involved to provide the best possible service to the clients.Dominic has a degree in Bachelor of Business (Accounting), he is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and is also the holder of a Public Practice Certificate.
Anthony Hamilton – B.Bus CPA
Anthony graduated from Victoria University (majoring in accounting) in 1995 and commenced his only full time employment at Cadwalladers in 1996 and became a partner in 2009. He is also a Registered Tax Agent, CPA and holder of a Public Practice Certificate.
He provides a range of taxation and business advice to individual and business clients, along with specialising in auditing of SMSF and SME including solicitors’ Trust Accounts, sporting clubs and other associations. He also has a special interest in providing advice to our many clients in the building and construction industries and providing Fringe Benefits Tax advice.
He believes working as a team at Cadwalladers providing compliance but more importantly value added services to our varied client base along with the wealth of professional experience our staff have, gives us a competitive edge in our industry.
The partners are also supported by a professional team of 8 qualified accountants. They all share the firm’s commitment in delivering quality service and pragmatic solutions to all our taxation and business requirements.
